| | Lower Tie Bar (95-99 FWD)
Want to further stiffen up your second-generation Eclipse? Bolt on this lower tie bar. It stiffens the rear of the car by tying the lower suspension attachment points together. Made of beefy oval-section polished aluminum, it comes with black powder-coated adjustable end links. Installation is easy; see instructions and picture below.
The flat cross-section bars are not recommended for AWD cars as the clearance is tight with the rear transfer case. Clearance with 3" exhaust systems may be tight also. The bar will usually fit but may touch some exhausts.

 | How to install the lower tie bar Simply unbolt the nut from the rear of the lower A-arm pivot point on either side of the car. The right-hand side nut is shown directly above the end of the tie bar in the photo, highlighted by the red circle. Put the tie bar on the bolt, then re-attach the nut. Simple!
