| ARP Head StudsWhether you are bolting on a ported head or just replacing a blown headgasket, ARP head studs are what you need to clamp everything down. Unlike OEM head bolts, ARP head studs won't stretch, can handle a whopping 190,000 psi, and are REUSABLE! It isn't uncommon to actually lift the head slightly when running over 24lbs of boost on stock head bolts. This lifting can cause the headgasket to blow and other nasty stuff can occur. A little peace of mind is worth just the slight cost over OEM.
The kit that you need depends on the build date of your TURBO 4G63 motor. You will need to know whether you have a 6 bolt or a 7 bolt crank. 6 bolt cranks were made before May 1992 and 7 bolt cranks came after. Check your door sticker for the build date before ordering. If you are right around the May 1992 cutoff, or are unsure if your engine is original, please give us a call just to be sure.
