The ACT clutch for your DSM gives much higher clamping force than the stock clutch, and at a very competitive price. We carry multiple varieties; the 2100-pound (clamping force) clutch has close-to-stock pedal effort. The 2600-pound clutch is for very high power levels, and requires a bit more pedal pressure. Now the 2900-pound for the turbo DSMs for all out holding power. If you race your car at the drag strip, you’ll be happy to know that the ACT clutch disk is available as a separate part, making future clutch replacements even less costly. Just call for a quote on individual pieces.
When selecting what kit you want consider how you will be driving it. The full face friction plates allow smooth engagement just like stock with more holding power. The 6 and 4 puck friction plates can allow neck and axle snapping power to be put the ground instantly. They are much harder to "slip" so rev matching becomes more important if you are crazy enough to use them for street use.
