2003 DSM Shootout

The 2003 DSM Shootout, hosted by Buschur Racing, was held on July 19-20, 2003, in Norwalk, Ohio. Lancer Evolutions were welcome, and Mach V Motorsports sponsored a special drag-racing class just for Evos. See results below.

(If you didn't know, DSM stands for "Diamond Star Motors," which was a Chrysler/Mitsubishi joint venture that spawned the Mitsubishi-powered Eclipse/Talon/Laser cars.)

The white Talon pictured above right, was built by Tym Switzer and owned by Scot Wegman. It produced 820 horsepower to the rear wheels. Technical problems prevented it from making a solid drag pass.
